Ditmar Awards 2021 are open for nominations!

There are only a few more days to go until nominations for the 2021 Ditmar Awards close. If you want to see your favourite novel, novelette/novella, or short story be among the finalist, get your vote in before midnight of August 15!

What are the Ditmar Awards?

The Ditmar Award (formally the Australian SF ("Ditmar") Award) has been awarded annually since 1969 at the Australian National Science Fiction Convention to recognise achievement in Australian science fiction (including fantasy and horror) and science fiction fandom. However, unlike other awards, the Ditmars are fan voted, meaning finalists are nominated by members of the Australian fandom and winners voted on by members of the current and previous National SF Convention.

In short: my fellow Aussie SFFH authors and I need your votes.

Now here's the slightly confusing part. According to the award rules, you must be active in the fandom to nominate. In other words, if you’re an Australian reader of genre fiction, you can vote. You may need to get someone to vouch for you. If you know me, I'm happy to do it for any of your nominations.

If you need to jog your memory about what's eligible for nomination check out the eligibility list here.

You can vote online through this form: https://ditmars.sf.org.au/2021/nominations.html
